Bars and Cages

Oh yeah. It was the cage today! I miss last month's cage session, and was quite suprised that it was brought in on the 2nd day of the month! ho yehhhhh... this morning I was like looking at these metal bars on the field, and wondering to myself.. 'ni goal post utk apa? selalunya ada football goal posts je.. but the setup was square shaped and they kinda looked like monkey bars...'. Then Sarge told us that it was the cage. Everyone's right. it was a great workout. We were divided into groups of 4 / 5 and would alternately change positions in order to use the bar. The exercises that we did with the bars were cage pull up (awesomeeeeeeeeee! but my butt was too heavy to lift up at times.. so apologies for the 'time added on' moments.. really didn't mean to do so).,upside down push ups, and alternate hands push ups.  This was nicely laced up with some grunts, deep squats (jyeah as Sarge says it, it's all about the ass on the grass!) , SEH-LOW jack knives (which literally killed me in the abs and thighs), king kong push ups, shoulder push ups, planks, sit ups and lunges. Of course  we didn't do these in one shot. The exercises are divided accordingly to suit the rhythm. So after the one hour 'fun'.. (but really.. I enjoyed today's work out veeeeeeeeeeery much.. i realize that my arms, triceps and shoulders are absolutely LIFELESS when it comes to workouts. sheesh), my upper muscles were slightly sore.. and fortunately still attached. :) OBC is really motivating and challenging.. I'm glad to be a part of it. Till the next session.. Saturday... ;)
